Pack action at Interphex

Leading pharmaceutical show features packaging services, suppliers and educational opportunities.

David Bellm, New-Media Editor -- Packaging Digest, 2/1/2009 2:00:00 AM

For three decades, the INTERPHEX show has been a key resource for important issues facing pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical professionals. The show provides information and solutions for the entire pharmaceutical development process, with considerable attention given to all aspects of packaging.

Packaging-related exhibits at INTERPHEX include machinery, inspection systems, finished containers and materials, quality-assurance and quality-control testing, computer systems and services, automation software, distribution/warehousing and contract packaging, along with other packaging-oriented vendors.

In addition, the INTERPHEX Conference will feature three days of comprehensive educational opportunities that reflect the trends and challenges facing pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical professionals today.

Of particular interest is the presentation, “Packaging and e-Pedigree: How to manage Global Requirements Without Global Standards,” by Kim Riley, program manager of global packaging and labeling, Shire HGT. Also part of the conference is the presentation, “Securely Implementing RFID in the Pharmaceutical Supply Chain,” in which members of the RFID Security Alliance (RFIDSA) will discuss key RFID issues, along with strategies to minimize or mitigate risks associated with implementing RFID solutions.

INTERPHEX will be held at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City, March 17 to 19, 2009. The show's basic exhibits-only registration is free before Feb. 16, 2009, or $75 after that date. There are also special prices on various combinations of keynotes, symposium sessions and show-floor access.

Attendees can register online at www.interphex.com or by calling 888/334-8704.
