Gas Flusher

-- Packaging Digest, 8/1/2008 2:00:00 AM

The co.'s gas-flush pouch-filling machine can reportedly reduce oxygen levels inside food packaging down to 0.5 percent. The system—operating at up to 60 bags/min—flushes the package before, during and after filling to minimize oxygen captured by the product. Possible bag types are four-side-sealed and standup, both with or without zipper closures. Recommended applications include dried meat products, nuts, coffee beans and grounds, dried fruit, baked goods and dried petfood.PTI Packaging Systems, 800/532-1501.www.ptipacktech.com
