-- Packaging Digest, 10/22/2008 10:05:00 AM

Global Vision, the leader in automated proofreading solutions for the pharmaceutical industry announced today that 15 of the top 20 pharmaceutical companies have selected Global Vision to help them reduce the risk of textual and artwork errors from occurring in their packaging process. According to Global Vision, the integration of automated proofreading technology has resulted in a reduction of quality issues and costs, along with speeding up product launches.

"Global Vision has helped us implement better methods for detecting errors before they become costly," said Debi Schimpf, Associate Director at Wyeth Pharmaceuticals. "They're extremely knowledgeable when it comes to securing the artwork packaging workflow. Over the last 10 years of working with Global Vision, we have realized significant benefits and financial savings."

Global Vision has recently integrated Braille inspection capabilities into all its solutions in compliance with the recent EMEA regulations that require Braille on labels and cartons.

"These companies are turning to us because we can offer them a safer and simpler way to work. Our customers need to feel confident in their approval and change control process. We give them peace of mind, along with the added benefits of decreased approval times and significant cost savings," said President Reuben Malz.
