Produce packaging

-- Packaging Digest, 11/1/2008 2:00:00 AM

FlowPack’s pillow-pack style of packaging, which has long been used for a variety of consumer goods, is now specifically designed for fresh produce. The packaging has high-impact graphics in a fully sealed, safe-to-ship container. The adaptable, pillow-pack design allows for packing product with or without the use of a punnet container, and can be modified to wrap punnets of different sizes and shapes. With output speeds starting at 60 packs/min, the packaging equipment allows full automation on the packing line that is operator friendly, reduces labor costs and produces high output in a relatively small floor area, the co. says.
