Blister machines

Tim Avery -- Packaging Digest, 7/2/2008 2:00:00 AM

The co. reports that its KDT and KBS-PL blister machines can now be tooled to manufacture packages using pre-cut paperboard blanks, offering a more sustainable alternative to plastic blisters. The blank is fed from a magazine and is formed into a pocket to hold the product in a fashion similar to a film blister. Thermoformed plastic blister materials can still be run as well for higher-strength, tamper-evident needs.
