Air-cargo container

-- Packaging Digest, 2/1/2008 2:00:00 AM

Temperature-controlled air-cargo container, AX2100L, is described by the co. as the first instance of FAA certifying a compressor-driven refrigeration unit. The container is reportedly designed to allow the air-transport industry to transport and precisely manage temperatures of perishable items including vaccines, pharmaceuticals, reagents and other temperature-sensitive products. It is engineered, the co. says, with user-selectable temperature set points from 4- to 25-deg C (39.2- to 77-deg F). A version reportedly is offered for ground-only shipping.
