Amy Zettlemoyer-Lazar, packaging director of Sam’s Club and co-manager of the Wal-Mart Sustainability Value Network, will deliver a special keynote address during Pack Expo International 2008, produced by PMMI.
In her presentation, “Keeping Score: How Wal-Mart and its Suppliers Continue to Advance Packaging Change, Innovation and Sustainability,” Zettlemoyer-Lazar will provide an update on the progress of the Wal-Mart sustainability scorecard and the next steps in its evolution.
“Since Wal-Mart first unveiled its packaging sustainability scorecard concept to the industry at Pack Expo International in 2006, the scorecard has evolved substantially,” said Ben Miyares, PMMI vice president of industry relations and director of the Conference at Pack Expo. “We are delighted to have Wal-Mart return to Pack Expo to share details on the scorecard’s development and provide insight into the company’s overall sustainability initiatives.”
Zettlemoyer-Lazar will present her address Sunday, November 9, at 1 p.m., in a special standalone session of the Conference at Pack Expo.
The Conference at Pack Expo program features more than 50 sessions presented by industry leaders and innovators. Joining Zettlemoyer-Lazar as keynote speakers at the Conference at Pack Expo will be top executives from Nestlé, Deloitte Consulting and The Dow Chemical Company.
