Shrink bander

-- Packaging Digest, 1/1/2010 2:00:00 AM

Shrink bander The F-160The F-160 Evolution shrink bander applies shrink bands around the lids of tapered and straight-walled tubs. The bander is fully mechanical and needs no vacuum, pneumatics or spinning knives. F-160 Evolution uses dual servos for product handling and sleeve feeding while its compact components create a small machine footprint; the fully enclosed, stainless- steel version of the system easily accepts washdowns. F-160 shrink banders apply tamper-evident bands sized 1- to 2.3-in. in height and 2.5 to 6.75-in. dia to tubs and containers used for dairy spreads, ice cream, oatmeal, prepackaged delicatessen foods, cultured products, yogurt and dessert toppings.
