Berlin Packaging to acquire All-Pak Inc.
Berlin Packaging has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire All-Pak Inc. The combined company will have annual revenues approaching $500 million. Berlin Packaging supplies billions of containers and closures to small and large customers nationwide; All-Pak supplies rigid packaging products and services to a wide range of markets.
Safecor Health, LLC, lands three-year repackaging contract
Safecor Health, LLC, a pharmaceutical repackaging provider to hospital and health system pharmacies and other sites of care, has been awarded a three-year, multi-source agreement for pharmaceutical repackaging services Premier Purchasing Partners, LP, the healthcare group purchasing unit of Premier Inc. Under terms of the agreement, Safecor Health will provide Premier members a flexible and comprehensive menu of unit-dose and bar-coded repackaging services geared toward each client's individual packaging needs and medication safety initiatives. This will enable healthcare providers to be able to customize packaging formats, dose sizes, and develop custom label and bar-code requirements for oral solids, liquid cups, oral syringes for adults and pediatrics, powders, and other packaging formats.
Smurfit-Stone opens European recycling sales office
Smurfit-Stone Container Corp.'s Recycling division has announced the opening of its European office in Rotterdam, Netherlands. The new office is part of Smurfit-Stone Recycling Intl and will source recovered paper in Europe for sale in China through the company's Shanghai office. The material also will be sold to Smurfit-Stone's customers elsewhere in Asia as well as in Europe and Central and South America.
