Vertical case transport system

-- Packaging Digest, 3/12/2010 12:33:05 PM

EZ-Tek VCTSEZ-Tek Industries’ Vertical Case Transport System (VCTS) automatically feeds flat blank cases through a print station that’s well-suited for mounting hi-resolution inkjet printers, says the company. The print station is said to offer the flexibility to print virtually anywhere on either side of the case at speeds of 72’/min and allows for open access to printheads for easy maintenance and quick adjustment. The VCTS also features an easy to load input hopper that can hold up to 100 flat single-wall cases and can be operated by one person. According to the company, VCTS eliminates the need for pre-printed cases or expensive labeling equipment and supplies by allowing users to print directly on two sides of a case with a single pass. With adjustable width settings and printhead locations, users can print on cases ranging in size from 10″ x 10” up to 33” x 40”. Equipped with casters, the VCTS can be easily moved throughout the plant to accommodate various printing needs.
