The FAST Label® print-and-apply systems enable the implementation of cross-docking and automated receiving strategies that can increase throughput by 66 percent, the co. states. The bar-code readers can compare the shipping label and product bar code to verify that items were picked correctly, thus eliminating picking errors. Furthermore, the co.'s bar-code equipment can detect non-singulated (side-by-side) packages, preventing inventory problems caused by “phantom” packages, the co says.
