Packaging concepts: Fridge box for champagne

-- Packaging Digest, 7/1/2010 5:51:00 PM

Fridge shaped champagne box

Based on an original fridge design from the 1950s, this luxury packaging was specially developed for the 750-ml bottle of Veuve Clicquot Brut Carte Jaune champagne. When closed, the box keeps the bottle cold for two hrs. The base and the cover are injected in tinted solid yellow ABS.  The Veuve Clicquot logo is silkscreen printed in black color on the two long sides of the base, and the Veuve Clicquot logo and the comet are embossed with shiny silver hot stamping on the cover. The two hinges and the lock are separately injected in PP, which allows perfect and easy opening and closing. Inside the fridge box, white PS vacforms hold the bottle in place. The fridge box and the vacform was developed and produced by Dapy Paris (www.dapyparis.com).
