Avery Dennison names new Vice President and General Manager for Fasson Roll North America
Avery Dennison Corporation has named Darrell Hughes as its new vice president and general manager for Fasson Roll North America. Responsible for the strategic development and growth of the North American Roll Materials business, Hughes will spearhead initiatives targeting sales profitability through innovation and new products, differentiated service programs and value-added selling initiatives.
ConAgra Foods recognized with Institute of Food Technologists’ Industrial Achievement Award
ConAgra Foods was recognized recently with the Institute of Food Technologists Industrial Achievement Award for its Healthy Choice Café Steamers product platform. The judges described Café Steamers as “a significant improvement in frozen meal preparation and quality.” The award honors a company or organization for “an outstanding development which represents a significant advance in the application of food science and technology to food production.” The award was presented at the IFT Annual Meeting and Expo in Chicago, Ill.
Eastman to expand hydrogenated hydrocarbon resin production at facilities in The Netherlands and Texas
Eastman Chemical Company announced plans to expand production of hydrogenated hydrocarbon resins at both its Middelburg, The Netherlands, and Longview, Texas, facilities. The Middelburg expansion, which is the third expansion of its Regalite hydrogenated hydrocarbon resins at this site since 2006, will increase current capacity by more than 20 percent. It is expected to be completed in the second half of 2011. In Texas, the company is planning a capacity increase of greater than 10 percent for its Eastotac hydrogenated aliphatic hydrocarbon resins. This expansion is planned for completion in early 2011.
