Food packaging: How will China’s five key food-packaging equipment categories effect you?

Along with the development of the food industry and the increasing demand for food safety and better food packaging, packaging equipment will have great market space. Due to improved production methods and storage conditions, packaging types will be aimed more at the consumers' needs. Vacuum packaging machines, due to many factors, however, is not expected to see a dramatic increase in future markets.One of China’s leading vertical search engines, Frbiz, has found that in recent years China's food packaging industry has been developing quickly, much more so than other sectors. Frbiz forecasts that in the next ten years, in order to adapt to the food packaging industry's rapid development needs, the following five food packaging machineries will dominate the market:
Vacuum packing machines
China's vacuum packaging machinery manufacturing enterprises focus on semiautomatic, automatic and continuous operations, and big vacuum packaging room, while the vacuum packing machines that are suitable for liquid packaging are less common. Domestic manufacturers lack efficiency and specialty vacuum packing machines.
Bag-making, filling and sealing machines
At present domestic manufacturers and respective factories total more than one hundred; the annual output has reached 1,500 units.
Metal packaging container processing equipment
The domestic metal packaging container processing machinery manufacturing industry has taken shape, and the development trend of such products are improved product performance, increased yield and material utilization; while on the other hand, the acceleration of product technical improvements, develop mercury-free welding and high frequency welding power, etc.
Corrugated carton production equipment
For nearly a decade, China's corrugated carton machinery industry has developed quickly, covering corrugated lines to printing and slotting machines, cutting machines, cardboard agglutination machines and others. The future development direction is expected to be high-speed equipment.
Paper pulp molding processing equipment
China's paper and tableware processing equipment, the production scale is relatively small, so processing equipment prices are little higher. In the future, paper and tableware processing machinery will look to improving the heat molding mold cost, reducing the heating power cost and improving the yield, etc.

I tend to agree with Wei Li Pack. China needs to move out of the `low cost' mentality and balance `Cost / Quality' if they want to achieve worldclass in the next decade. I believe the Chinese can do it if they set their sight on it.

Yes, agreed the food-packaging equipments become more popular, the quality of HFFS and VFFS is the keynote of success of automatic production,but in China, user only concern the price, for examples, they prefer limited budget to buy a USD 3000 HFFS to pack mooncake, at the end, poor sealing integrity and their mooncake always complainted by end-customers. We Li Pack are serving the packaging material in food packaging industry, I have always encounter the similar cases, they said it is not the quality of machine, it is the problem of flow wrapping film.
Good integrity, stable at high spped running, user-friendly is the key success of automatic flow wrapping.
