Corner wrap applicator

Posted by Jenni Spinner, Senior Editor -- Packaging Digest, 10/2/2012 11:12:25 AM

Model 20.80 corner wrap printer applicator from Labeling SystemsThe Model 20.80 corner wrap printer applicator uses a thermal transfer printer to print the pertinent information to the label. As the label dispenses onto the applicator grid, the box passes through the case taper. The box pushes through the hinged label applicator which effectively wipes the label from the leading edge down the side edge. Boxes are then removed by an operator for palletizing. The LSI corner wrap applicator features a high-volume vacuum fan, reportedly making the applicator less prone to clogging than other vacuum technologies; this feature makes the applicator suitable for dusty environments and allows it to handle more than one label size. Other features Allen Bradley Micrologix 1400 PLC Controls with a PVC300 touchscreen HMI; T-base stand with locking casters, separate regulator and gauges for components for maximum air-flow control and stainless-steel and aluminum construction. A variety of print engines are available.
