TOKYO PACK 2012 draws record crowd

The 24th edition of the biennial TOKYO PACK, Asia's largest packaging show (2nd - 5th October, Tokyo Big Sight), saw registered visitor numbers hit 65,311, more than the 62,182 which visited in the previous edition. In all, more than 170,000 people visited TOKYO PACK 2012.
Exhibitor numbers also grew 8.9 percent to 600, while the total number of booths rose 7.2 percent to 2,270.
Mr. Yoichi Sonoyama, Secretary General of the TOKYO PACK 2012 Secretariat, said, "TOKYO PACK 2012 has successfully completed the four-day exhibition on October 5th. I, as Secretary General, would like to give my sincerest appreciation to all the people who visited TOKYO PACK 2012 from all over the world.
The exhibition owner and organizer, Japan Packaging Institute (JPI), is already planning for the 25th edition of the show: "The next TOKYO PACK will be held in 2014, from October 7th Tuesday to 10th Friday. For the next TOKYO PACK 2014, we are going to expand its scale," said Mr. Sonoyama.
"We welcome your visit and exhibit to TOKYO PACK 2014 to grasp an opportunity to get updated on packaging trends in Asia and also to gain a foothold in the Asian market.
"We look forward to welcoming you all at TOKYO PACK 2014."
