The 6500 Series small-character continuous inkjet system, with touch-screen display, is said to print crisp multi-lingual alphanumeric text and barcodes for in-line product and package coding. It features the company's iModule reservoir and uses quick-release, ink and solvent containers that are changed in a matter of mere seconds, according to the manufacturer. Other reputed benefits include low energy consumption, affordable operating cost, elimination of consumables waste and ease of operation. Additionally, a combined printhead valve and flexible umbilical connection clears itself upon startup by generating high pressure to ensure a seamless flow of ink. In the event of a power outage, the printhead shuts down immediately, sealing ink delivery and preventing it from drying on the line.
