Retrofit auto-adjust device boosts case packers' flexibility

Schneider Packaging Equipment is debuting Pro-Adjust, a new pre-programmed software and tool kit that automatically adjusts case packers for various SKUs, products and case sizes, at Pack Expo 2012. As manufacturers are faced with the increasing demand to produce more SKU's on existing equipment, the need to both improve line efficiency and reduce changeover time is paramount. The Pro-Adjust is designed to address the need for speed by providing a solution that can be added onto existing equipment as a field retrofit or as an available low-cost option on new case packing equipment.
The key to the field adaptability is that the Pro-Adjust features its own controller with an easy-to-use interface that makes installation, setup and operation simple. This avoids heavy modifications of the machine's existing controls and allows for rapid installation. The easy-to-use interface simplifies SKU setup and is programmed to work with the existing machine controller.
