Stretch bander on palletizer stabilizes loads

At this year's PACK EXPO show, Intelligrated announced the availability of a new hoist-mounted stretch bander on its Alvey 950 series palletizers to handle unstable loads. The system can apply stretch bands or film to product on a pallet, while the pallets are still inside the palletizer. The bander eliminates the need for sheets between layers resulting in a measurable cost reduction.

Intelligrated also introduced a seamless control system for Alvey 950 series palletizers that allows both the machine and its robots to be controlled from a single PLC.
