Vermi T Solution is a unique gardening product geared toward consumers whose green thumbs match their green-minded appetite for sustainable products. The specially blended liquid compost, created by Vermicrop Organics, recently switched to a spout-and-pouch fitment package, designed by Flair Flexible Packaging, to help increase its sustainability, improve costs and reduce labor.
According to John Perrino, co-founder and COO of Vermicrop Organics, "The garden shops that sell our Vermi T Solution each have their own brewers so they can brew on site. We used to have to send them our kits, which included the empty bottles in half or whole gallon sizes, for filling. We'd manually label each of the bottles in our warehouse. The time, the cost of warehousing empty bottles, and the shipping expense were unsustainable."
The new package is a half-gallon, triple-layer laminated pouch with a 22mm recloseable/reusable pour spout fitment. The pouches feature vibrant 8-color graphics. The company can warehouse one shipment on less than two pallets, the equivalent of a full truckload of its previous rigid bottles. .
