Packaging revamp adds more spark to Jardine's sauces

-- Packaging Digest, 9/1/2006

Jardine Foods is reinvigorating the look and feel of its 7J Range line of salsas, marinades and barbecue sauces with spicy, new label graphics. Featured on all 7J jars and bottles, the updated graphics on the glossy labels incorporate brighter colors and shiny silver-foil accents and a bright, eye-catching 7J silver logo that brings the brand to the forefront, complemented by accent bands in lively colors. In addition, engaging, informative descriptions of the contents help shoppers choose the right product. The new graphics were designed with help from CMA (www.cmadesign.com). Converted by MPI Label Systems (www.mpilabels.com), the paper/foil labels are flexo-printed on a Mark Andy (www.markandy.com) press in seven colors plus a clear film laminate that adds gloss and shine. A matching silver-toned jar lid completes the look. The new packaging began shipping in April 2006. “We've been extremely pleased with the initial feedback we've been getting,” reports Garth Gardner, Jardine's executive vp of sales and marketing.
