Biodegradable material

-- Packaging Digest, 9/1/2006

Eco Works® 70 is a new biodegradable material that turns into water and carbon dioxide during commercial composting. Reportedly based heavily on bio-based polyester from corn, the material can be fabricated into a variety of forms from flexible sheeting and films in multiple gauges for wraps to molded containers, the co. suggests, noting it conforms to ASTM D 6400-99 and DIN V 54 900, plus domestic and international compostability standards.
