The new Evolution II printer is introduced as having enhanced bar-code capabilities and can print up to four lines of text. Its predecessor, the Evolution I, is described as the lowest-cost high-resolution printer available; plus there is now an Evolution small-character printer. All units use HP ink-jet technology.
