Case erector

-- Packaging Digest, 2/1/2006

Compact R350 case erector reaches speeds up to 35 cpm. Easy to use, the machine erects and bottom-seals RSCs, HSCs, CSSCs and cases with integral dividers, the co. states. Seals with tape or hot-melt adhesive. Has a low-level, vertical magazine that makes case blanks easy to load. An intermediate-frame model is also available for large case sizes. Features an Allen-Bradley PLC and PanelView 300 Micro operator interface, 3-min changeovers, an energy-saving mode, electrically interlocked safety guards, a Nordson adhesive melter, a Dekka p-s tape head and more. The forming section has vacuum cups that open the blanks by their major flaps, eliminating interference of minor flaps. The cases move by flights through flap folders and plows, promoting positive setup and square corners.
