Filler/capper

-- Packaging Digest, 12/1/2006

A new filler/capper, its product tank made of either titanium or HDPE, with the product circuit and shroud made of titanium, has been developed by the co. as a solution for packaging corrosive products without destroying the equipment while doing the job. The capper, the co. discloses, is over-pressured, and capping spindles are protected by bellows. Usually, the full enclosure is made of PP. For products such as bleach, the co. says, stainless-steel machines don't last more than a couple of years, but its titanium/plastic equipment can last 20 years in a very corrosive environment, it relates.
