Retro bottles spur new scents

Diesel, the popular denim and fashion brand, is launching its new fragrance “experience” for men and women in glass flacons. The ornamental bottle is wrapped in a rustic, faux-leather vintage bag for the male cologne and an open-mesh, woven lace encapsulates the female container. For both bottles, sloping shoulders fall from the neck to a narrow base to create an old-world sensibility. The striking feature for both the eye and touch is the textured-relief on the front of the 50- or 75-mL bottles that proclaim “Use with Caution” for the male cologne.
