The S-107 HS high-speed thermal-transfer printer features two printheads, one mounted at the edge of the web and the other in the middle. The printer can operate at speeds up to 500-mm/sec and offers a cost-effective alternative to using preprinted labels for generating variable information such as lot numbers, date codes and scannable bar codes. The printer incorporates a new preheat mechanism that releases ink and transfers imagery to the package or product at high speeds.
