Beverage packaging gets a new twist
August 18, 2008
It's amazing how just a little twist - no pun intended - can take an existing product and totally change it around. Here's one that came across my desk. A very clever little addition to the everday pop can makes it resealable.
And it even has room for branding and advertising messages! Clever indeed.
Check out the video below, or go to the company's website for info.

Be aware that this is just a video. Many resealable beverage can lid designs have been proposed over the years, none of which were commercially practical. One that is in commercial production is the BRE made by Ball Packaging Europe being used in Europe for Coca-Cola's Burn energy drink. It works and there are plans to launch in the US soon.

Good point John. Thanks for bringing that up. It seems like an idea that's overdue -- which all-to-often means there are some hidden issues that are making it difficult.

I designed this based on the conceptual idea by Johan De Broyer. Our official website is: www.DavisAdvertisingInc.com/sodaseal
