One of nature's best packages gets new label

March 17, 2010

chiquita3_v1.jpgBananas are the best fruit in the world. I’m sure millions of kids would agree … the under-12 set just seems naturally drawn to the flavor.

In my case though, that opinion isn’t just a matter of taste. Yeah, there’s definitely a lot to be said for that mildly sweet but not overpowering flavor of a banana at the perfect state of ripeness. But for me, it’s largely a matter of convenience. You just can’t beat a fruit that comes with its own packaging — and one that pretty accurately indicates the age, ripeness, and general integrity of the fruit within too.

That said, the fact that bananas have their own packaging would certainly make it a hard product to really brand, right? Well, perhaps it’s challenging, but not impossible. To drive that point home, the folks at banana goliath Chiquita have just taken their famous fruit through a rather attractive rebranding.

The result is a fun new series of stickers that adorn the fruit. A wonderful way to add a little bit of extra panache to a pre-packaged product.

Sweet! No pun intended … Okay, maybe a little bit intended.
