Food packaging: Can chocolate be made even more fun?

As the father of a very lively four-year-old daughter, I can appreciate just about anything that makes packaging entertaining. Now, I’ll grant you, it doesn’t take much to get my girl interested in chocolate — it could be packaged as a lifelike spider with poisonous fangs and she’d still eagerly tear in and gobble it up.

But I couldn’t help but think of her when I saw these bright, kooky chocolate package designs from Israel, created by Baruch Naeh.

The joy of chocolate with the silly fun of rainbow-hued cartoons? That’s an explosive combination. Here’s what the company says about it:

“Elite, the largest chocolate manufacturer in Israel decided to launch the new ‘chocolate fingers’ for children. All Israeli’s have grown up on Elite chocolate yet never have any of their products been designed for children. The Friendly Cow’ has been Elite chocolate’s brand character since 1934 which we redesigned 2 years ago …”
