In every job, there are people who have no authority, but who have a huge impact on you. At one company I worked at, a phone operator—call her Helga—was just such a person. She wasn’t just any phone operator—this gravely voiced lady had been there seemingly forever, and no one ever crossed her.
We each had a direct-dial number, and heaven help you if someone you knew dialed the company number instead. One day, I called in sick and I didn’t remember my boss’ number, so I dialed the company line. “Call him on his number, Jack,” says Helga. (You only had to call once and she would remember your voice forever.) “I forgot it,” I say. “Here it is. Write this down. Have you got it?” she says. “Yeah. Yeah,” I say, just to get her off my case. “Then dial it direct,” she says, and pulls the plug.
Her clout really came home to me on an occasion when I was sitting in on a call several of our VPs had made to the president of a supplier. In those days, the company had bought its own dedicated long distance lines, called WATS lines, and they had determined that they got the most for their money if they had employees use the WATS line for short calls and use the regular lines for longer calls. They established a policy that we could only use the WATS lines for calls less then five min. long. In this case, the VPs had used a WATS line, and were talking to the other company’s president, when Helga comes on. “You’ve got one minute,” she says. “This is an important call, so don’t cut us off!” says the production VP. “You’ve got 30 seconds,” says Helga. “Don’t cut us off!” yells the VP. Boink!—the line goes dead. Much unpleasant language, and they place the call again over a regular line.
The company had really nice Christmas parties, and I was at the party that year and happened to be taking to Helga, so I asked her how she could get away with things like cutting off three VPS on an important call. “Jack,” she says. “I’ve been here for 30 years. Nobody messes with me, because, I KNOW WHERE THE BODIES ARE BURIED!"
So there’s the key to longevity: KNOW WHERE THE BODIES ARE BURIED!

Xbox 360: th games are really good, most of the time games arnt laggy cause u pay for $8 for 1month, or $19.99 for 3 mohtns or $50 bucks for a whole year to xbox live. But there is a overheating issue i hear that causes a Red Ring of Death that will shut down your system. But ive had my xbox for awhile now and nothing has happend to mine, but ive heard that the newer 360 s wont do that now but not 100% sure. plus i hear 360 s can get a virus (not sure about Ps3 s)but i also use a fan stand on my 360 that helps keep it cooler, i wouldnt suggest the Nyko fan for the back of it i hear that can melt onto ur 360 and void the warrnty, plus you unplug the power cord from the back of the 360 and then plug the fan into the back plugging into th where thing and then you plug back in the power cord which i hear takes power away from the system which is bad. Everytime a new game comes out its 60 bucks for along time but usally drops fast if thier not good sellers.. but alot of good sellers have been out and games still high. Lots of extra accessories you can buy for 360, different wireless controllers, a Webcam, a plug and play charging kit which ull you have buy seperate after buying a 360 to recharge your wireless controller and its 20 bucks for that cord and charger. a wireless adapter for wireless internet for 80-100 bucks (depends where you buy it), a wireless racing wheel, dvd remotes, 360 comes with a 20 gig hardrive but if you want you can buy a 120 gig for like 170-200 bucks, or you can pay more for a 360 and get the Xbox 360 Elite,Ps3: i dont own one but i hear thier really nice, but only comment i have about the free onlien is i hear its really laggy..plus it seems like the games are a little to somewhat cheaper then the 360 s some are the same price though. plus you can pick what size harddrive you get when you buy it, but that ll be more for bigger you go.
