Coca-Cola to invest $250 million in India
Beverage giant Coca-Cola is planning to invest $250 million in India in the next three years, expand its product portfolio and strengthen the firm's infrastructure. The company currently has 61 bottling plants and is on the lookout to open more across the country, officials said.

Manuli Stretch purchases Quintec in the U.S.
Film major Manuli Stretch Group has established a U.S. production base by acquiring Quintec Films Corp of Shelbyville, TN. Manuli completed the acquisition on November 26 for undisclosed terms. Manuli Stretch of Milan, Italy, expects the Quintec acquisition to help it realize ambitious sales targets in North America.

Graham Packaging opens new plant in Tuzla, Turkey
Graham Packaging Company, L.P., has begun manufacturing operations in a new plant in Tuzla, Turkey, producing polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles for the personal care, household products and dairy markets in western Turkey.

According to the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, the invention relates to a "beverage bottling plant for filling bottles with a liquid beverage, having a filling element for filling bottles with a liquid beverage and a filling machine having such a filling element."
