Coke: Self-cooling bottles coming soon?
Drinks giant Coca-Cola has invented a bottle that chills on the inside when the top is twisted off. Insiders have hinted the technology will be featured in a new drink called Sprite Super Chilled, which could reach the U.K. by next year. The bottles do away with the need to add ice, which dilutes the liquid, but they must be put in a special vending machine to regulate temperature. Read more...

FDA to take action against improperly labeled sugar-free goods
The FDA issued a guidance letter to manufacturers urging them to review their product labels as a result of finding an increased number of improperly-labeled sugar-free products. Under current regulations, foods that are marketed with label claims such as 'sugar free,' 'free of sugar,' 'zero sugar' or 'sugarless' and that are not low or reduced in calories must disclose that fact. Consequently, they must bear additional calorie statements or advise that the food is 'not a low calorie food,' 'not a reduced calorie food' or 'not for weight control,' said FDA. Read more...
