Single-logo plan for recyclable packaging unveiled in U.K.
Plans to create a single logo for use on recyclable packaging were unveiled today. It would replace the confusing array of symbols and messages currently appearing on product labels, the British Retail Consortium (BRC) said. Less than 15 percent of paper packaging recycled in Japan
Only 140,000 tons of paper containers and packaging from the 950,000 tons discarded during fiscal 2006 were collected for recycling, despite these items being subject to the Container and Packaging Recycle Law, according to an estimate by the recycling industry association and another survey. Movement to recycle drinks cartons in U.K.
