Food company ads target moms over the holiday season with images of traditional dinners being prepared in cozy, warm kitchens, the joys of holiday baking and a gentle reminder that they don't want to be the mom with the failed meal story next year. Companies hope the ads will work just as well for nontraditional women. "You speak to the target, and then others will listen," said General Mills spokeswoman Heidi Geller.
