Beckhoff implements open automation systems based on PC Control technology. The product range covers Industrial PCs, I/O and Fieldbus Components, Drive Technology and automation software. Products that can be used as separate components or integrated into a complete and seamless control system are available for all industries. The Beckhoff "New Automation Technology" philosophy represents universal and open control and automation solutions that are used worldwide in a wide variety of different applications, ranging from CNC-controlled machine tools to intelligent building automation.

Beckhoff Automation North America serves one of the largest industrial markets in the world, including the United States, Canada and Mexico. Headed by Graham Harris, President, Beckhoff Automation LLC, this subsidiary has been aggressively winning North American market share with PC-based control technologies and EtherCAT systems. With regional sales and application engineers located throughout the continent, Beckhoff North America is well-positioned to provide best-in-class sales consultation, technical support, training and PC repair services to leading machine builders and manufacturers.

Beckhoff Automation has regional offices strategically located across North America: the Savage, Minn. North American headquarters (Minneapolis area); Charlotte, NC; Mechanicsburg, PA (Harrisburg area); Woodridge, Ill. (Chicago area); San Diego, Calif.; Mill Creek, Wash. (Seattle area); and Mississauga, Ontario (Toronto area). Service in Mexico is handled by Beckhoff distributor, Integra Automation in San Luis Potosí, Mexico.
