According to a study from The Freedonia Group, U.S. demand for high visibility packaging is projected to expand 4 percent yearly to reach $8.5 billion in 2012. The study--High Visibility Packaging-- concludes that the high-visibility packaging segment will generate demand for 1.1 billion pounds of plastic resin. The three drivers behind this trend are low cost, market aesthetics and consumer convenience. In this podcast, Linda Casey speaks with Sam Glover, Jr., from Eastman Chemical company about how designers can work with Eastman to create high-clarity bottles in unusual shapes.
