The co. has specifically developed a line of packaging trays for fresh vegetables and fruit that is made from palm fiber, a renewable resource that is biodegradable and certified compostable. The display-ready packs are said to be durable and sturdy and can protect the integrity of fruit and vegetables during cross-country shipment and final delivery. Earthcycle packs are designed to fit a Euro-footprint standard master container and can be designed for specialized master container sizes. The packaging material is water-resistant and comes in two colors—natural “fiber” and vanilla. Other colors can be created through the use of vegetable dyes that ensure the biodegradability and compostability of the product is not jeopardized. Earthcycle trays are designed for a wide selection of fresh vegetables and fruit, including tomatoes, bell peppers, zucchini, blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, kiwi fruit and mangos.
