"Huber" is the generic name for the needle used to administer chemotherapy drugs and other such intravenous fluids to cancer and chronic hematology patients. A Huber needle is inserted into a surgically implanted, subcutaneous port. This port allows access to chemotherapy drugs, for example, on a repeated basis, over an extended period.
