Automation Solutions for Packaging Engineers

Packaging production engineers are always looking for good ideas on how to do things better. Here’s what they found during the first half of 2022.

No matter what rank his students were, my Tai Kwon Do instructor was a stickler for pounding on the basics — simple kicks and blocks — because all the other fancier moves build on these core actions.

The same is true of packaging production efficiencies: When you understand the basic functions of typical packaging machines on a production line, you can better match the operation to the need. And then assess newer technologies to see if they offer an incremental advantage that’s cost effective.

So it’s no surprise that when we reviewed which packaging production content was popular so far this year, there were a fair number of “basics” to support the newer ideas that we posted — because Packaging Digest always works hard to identify emerging trends and new technologies.

In reverse order, here are a dozen of the best-read automation/equipment items on PackagingDigest.com in the first half of 2022, based on total page views. How can these ideas help you?
