High resolution printing enables branding on demand, reducing inventory of pre-printed cartons and adhesive labels. Drop-on-demand inkjet is used for simple 1- or 2-line printing and uses eco-friendly water-based inks. High resolution inkjet can produce several lines of print as well as large, crisp graphics. Branding on demand with the new Viacode platform enables packagers to reduce their costs associated with pre-printed boxes and labels, the company says.
