The 87M Yellow Jacket orbital stretch wrap machine is intended for wrapping oversized, oddly shaped palletized loads while the pallet remains on the forklift. The 87M is a horizontally positioned stretch wrap dispenser that moves around and under a load as it manually advances across the length of the load; according to the company, the process significantly minimizes the time it takes to wrap a load by hand. While it usually takes two workers approximately10 minutes to wrap a load by hand, this machine reportedly can wrap a similar load with a single worker in 1 minute. Additionally, the unit eliminates the need to use other strapping materials or expensive cartons to secure loads. The machine, which requires only about 8x9 ft. of floor space, comes in manual or semi-automatic models.
