Eriez ProGrade plate magnetProGrade plate magnets are designed to remove ferrous contamination from products traveling in chutes, spouts, ducts, pipes and conveyors. According to the manufacturer, the magents are economically priced magnets that effectively help prevent incurring costs from downtime due to machinery damage, protect against spark-caused fires and explosions, and safeguard against product contamination. They come in ceramic, rare-earth and Xtreme rare earth strengths, enabling packaging professionals working in a range of situations select the level of protection suitable for any specific application. The ceramic-powered separators are suitable for removing medium to large tramp metal, such as bolts, nuts and hand tools. Rare-earth-powered separators are designed to remove small ferrous contaminants (i.e. pins, staples and clips). Separators powered by Xtreme rare-earth magnet material are suited for at removing weakly magnetic fine ferrous contamination. Each magnet features all-stainless-steel construction, with pinge-style hinges for ease of cleaning. Widths from 6 in. to 24 in. are available.
