Packline roll-handling equipment
This new roll-handling unit-with a low-profile clamp attachment-is suitable for situations in which access to rolls is restricted, along narrow production lines or where the rolls of film or web are closely stacked on pallets. The product is suitable for use in food and beverage applications, as well as pharmaceutical, medical and chemical projects. The arms of the low profile clamp are designed to be narrow, which is ideal for accessing rolls of packaging material that are closely packed together or where access to the rolls is restricted. The low-profile clamp attachment can be used with the manufacturer's standard roll handling lifters; in addition, it is said to be ideal for use with the company's X-Frame lifter, which is intended to access the corner of pallets when lifting drums or rolls of web, film or packaging material. The attachment is available with manual or geared rotation, handles load capacities to 300 kg, accepts load diameters of up to 850 mm and has a built-in slip torque mechanism for consistent application of correct gripping pressure.
