Thin-film winding
B&R Automation winder software

B&R Automation winder softwareThe company is offering a software library for controlling winder processes to facilitate high-quality printing on ultra-thin, highly elastic film. The product reportedly can handle open-loop tension control using a set torque value or closed-loop tension control with the aid of measurement value feedback or a dancer. According to the manufacturer, the product enables tension to be stabilized even in the acceleration and deceleration phases through automatically adjusting both the speed control parameters of the drive and the feed-forward controls for speed and acceleration. In addition to printing machines, the software can assist winding processes on other machines, such as those involving wire saws, sheet metal, textiles and more.
