Tall cap closure: Product of the Day

Closure Systems International’s (CSI’s) Aqua-Lok mini 26mm TC (tall cap) provides 57 percent more grip surface than other 26mm short-height profiles for ease of opening by consumers of all ages. The closure was designed to provide an ideal combination of bottler savings and enhanced consumer satisfaction. The taller cap is fully compatible with the popular ultra short-height 1914 PET bottle finish.  This new lightweight, one-piece closure is ideal for bottled water, ready-to-drink teas and other still beverages.

“Market research experts agree that meeting the needs of aging consumers is essential for most packaging brand owners,” says Dawn Phillips, CSI global marketing manager. “By increasing the height of the closure side wall, our designers greatly expanded the knurled gripping area of the closures, making them much easier to open, while still fitting the 1914 bottle finish. It really does enhance consumer satisfaction while also providing environmental benefits and savings for the bottler.”

Other important features of CSI’s new Aqua-Lok mini 26mm TC closure include an extended plug seal for advanced tamper evidence, providing band break prior to seal loss. This seal geometry not only protects the product integrity, but also maximizes consumer security. Furthermore, Aqua-Lok mini 26mm TC is made with HDPE material for optimum taste and odor performance. In addition, top printing and color matching capabilities are available to enhance brand marketability.
