For easy validation, the Eagle blister packaging machine allows users to simply and exactly calibrate the system because they are able to remove the thermocouple and measure the actual temperature at the point of sealing.
From Maruho Hatsujyo Innovations (MHI), and debuted for the U.S. market at EastPack 2017, the Eagle is a continuous-motion servo-driven system that was designed for pharmaceutical companies by a pharmaceutical company: MHI’s parent company is pharmaceutical manufacturer Maruho Co. Ltd. in Japan.
The recipe-driven system handles small batches and/or frequent changeovers (which are tool-less and quick: less than 10 minutes). With a small footprint of less than 2.5 square meters (about 8 ft 10 inches long x 2 ft 11 inches wide x 5 ft 10 inches high), another benefit of the small size is how lightweight the forming parts are, making them easy to remove and replace.
The system handles a variety of forming and lidding materials used by U.S. pharmaceutical and nutraceutical companies, including polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polyvinylidene chloride (PVDC), polyethylene terephthalate gly (PETG) and cold-form aluminum for the blister and aluminum, paper, aluminum/paper laminates, Tyvek and polyester (PET) for the lidding.
