Make Connections at EastPack and CannPack East
The two shows, to be held in December 2021 together with five additional co-located manufacturing events, will showcase packaging solutions, and provide educational and networking opportunities.
Packaging professionals seeking the latest in tech breakthroughs and packaging education and training will convene in person at this winter’s EastPack show, to be held December 7-9 at Jacob Javits Convention Center, New York City. The event will include the CannPack East cannabis packaging conference and exhibition.
EastPack is one of six design and manufacturing shows that will be held together. The others are:
• Medical Design and Manufacturing (MD&M) East
• Automation Technology Expo (ATX) East
• Design & Manufacturing (D&M) East
• Plastec East
• Quality Expo East
More than 350 suppliers will be exhibiting at the six-in-one show, and more than 5,000 attendees are expected.
Together, the multiple events promise a deep dive into emerging technologies and materials for packaging, automation, plastics, design, quality, and medical devices. Hot topics will include robotics, 3D printing, smart manufacturing, labeling, and flexible packaging.
EastPack’s packaging solutions and technologies will be of interest to packaging professionals in numerous vertical industries, including food and beverage, personal care/health and beauty, medical, household, industrial, and cannabis.
CannPack East — formerly known as the Cannabis Packaging Summit — will present the latest in cannabis packaging solutions and design. This December marks the first time the cannabis packaging event has been co-located with EastPack. CannPack East will include more than 40 cannabis packaging exhibitors.

EastPack attendees will have access to more than 30 free educational sessions. Topics will include advanced manufacturing issues, such as plastics in a circular economy and predictive maintenance on a budget; packaging trends and concerns, such as the economics of flexible packaging; and medtech product and packaging development.
In addition, the Cannabis Packaging Conference will explore packaging automation for multi-state operators, child-resistant packaging, sustainability, how to find cannabis packaging partners, and more.
Product demos will include exhibitor tech talks, lunch-and-learn sessions, and product showcases. The expo will also include career-development opportunities and activities at the Networking Zone.
