Pro Mach appoints Ruberg Director of Corporate Business Collaboration

Pro Mach Inc., a provider of packaging line solutions and machinery, has named Mark Ruberg Director of Corporate Business Collaboration. His duties include working with members of the firm's senior leadership team to increase global growth, with a particular focus on expansion in Latin America. Most recently Ruberg worked for Milacron Marketing Co., where he held several positions of increasing responsibility in engineering and sales leadership, and served as vp of corporate accounts.

 

Advance Paper Box and Packaging Spectrum goes carbon neutral
California-based box manufacturing company Advance Paper Box and Packaging Spectrum has attained CarbonNeutral certification by reducing its carbon footprint to net zero. The company is the first packaging operation in the western U.S. to receive such certification from CarbonNeutral, a company that provides assessment, verification and consulting services on carbon management and sustainability planning. Advanced Paper Box and Packaging Spectrum achieved certification through offsetting its emissions with eco-friendly efforts, such as a forestry project in northern California.

 

Lindal Group names Brands president for the Americas
Lindal Group (a company that makes valves, actuators and spray caps for aerosol products) has appointed Robert F. Brands to the position of President - Americas, the company announced. Brands will be responsible for western hemisphere operations, marketing, sales and customer relations in all market sectors, including cosmetics, household, pharmaceuticals, food industry and the technical industry. Most recently, Brands was Managing Director of the Personal Care Division of Rexam, which included dispensing systems, make-up and home and personal care businesses.

 

IntraPac to move manufacturing to Indiana
The IntraPac Group, a specialty-packaging manufacturer for the personal care and pharmaceutical markets, is moving its laminate tube manufacturing operations from Swedesboro, NJ, to Lawrenceburg, IN. The new location (which reportedly will create more than 60 new jobs in the area) enables IntraPac to expand and support its growing laminate tube operations by consolidating manufacturing, printing and warehousing into one new 80,000 sq.-ft. facility. Construction on the new plant began in September 2011; the move is scheduled be completed by early spring of 2012. IntraPac has developed a Standard Operating Procedure to qualify installation, equipment and processes.

 

Multi-Pack Atlanta names Garriott operations manager
Multi-Pack Atlanta, a liquid contract packaging firm, has named Frank Garriott to the position of operations manager. Garriott, who has been charged with overseeing all production operations at the company's two facilities, previously held various operations positions with a national marketer of cleaning chemicals over a 33-year period. According to John Panaseny, vp and general manager, "Adding Frank to our talented team is another positive step in Multi-Pack Atlanta's efforts to become the premiere liquid contract packaging company in the country."

 

Primo Water selects Rieke Packaging pumps
Beverage firm Primo Water Corp. has tapped Rieke Packaging Systems to provide its RS-10 pump dispensers for the Primo Sparkling Beverage Mixes, part of the new Primo Flavorstation home carbonated beverage system. The system enables users to create single-serve, naturally flavored carbonated beverages in their home or office. According to Primo, the pump dispensers work with Primo's Sparkling Beverage Mix bottles, enabling them to add one of a number of flavors to their homemade beverages.
