A new case packer is said to use dynamic servo operation to ensure top precision and accuracy at speeds to 30/min, with servo motors controlling the main case drive, infeed, downstacker and load pusher to provide precise movement and gentle handling. Co. says PLC operation assures integral synchronization of all moving parts and smooth, harmonious performance. The packer runs a variety of cases and semi-rigid containers, and offers motorized size adjustments to ensure repeatable accuracy and to eliminate tweaking that often slows case packer changeover. In cases where change parts are required, downtime is reduced by the use of locking handles to secure parts. The compact machine occupies only 15.4 linear ft on the production line, reducing the time requirement and cost of installation. It is built for performance with a heavy tubular steel, continuous weld, box-style construction that is designed to stand up to the stress of high speed operation with minimum maintenance. Polycarbonate hinged guarding surrounds the machine, combining high visibility and easy access.
